Banys Lluís

This restaurant on the beach in Sant Pol de Mar, 40 minutes north of Barcelona, has been run by the same family since it opened in 1924. They specialize in seafood preparations featuring ingredients that come from the area like espardenyes (sea cucumbers) or the amazing prawns from Palamos. They also serve fish and seafood from other parts of Spain, which they store in tanks, along with excellent rice and noodle dishes studded with seafood. You can eat in the indoor dining room or on the lovely terrace; both have unbeatable views of the Mediterranean.
