Bleecker Burgers

Former corporate lawyer Zan Kaufman launched Bleecker St. Burger in 2012 as a street-food concept, just as street food was taking off in London. Now there are four permanent sites, serving six kinds of burger – although the simple cheeseburger is the connoisseur's choice. Beef is rare-breed and pasture-fed from small UK farms; it is also dry-aged, making for a particularly intense beefiness. The angry fries (covered in hot sauce and blue cheese) are also a cult staple of the London chips scene.
