A number of OAD reviewers have told stories about how their grandparents took them to this restaurant that has become a landmark in San Sebastian's old town. It's now run by Chef Pablo Loureiro and his wife. You can choose between a downstairs bar stocked with exquisite traditional pintxos and the upstairs dining room with an à la carte menu. This is a wonderful place to sample the region's seasonal vegetables, which you can follow with the best seasonal fish, including hake cheeks, sole and wild turbot — all grilled over charcoal.
