Da Ivo

Founded in 1976 by the Tuscan-born Ivo Natali, this restaurant made a name for itself by serving dishes that originated in both Venice and Tuscany.  In 2005, the Venetian-born Giovanni Fracassi became the restaurant’s manager, eventually inheriting the place from Natali. These days the cooking reflects the restaurant’s history history; traditional Venetian dishes such as spider crab or spaghetti with clams live in harmony with a good Fiorentina steak. The friendly atmosphere is a plus – one reason it is popular with actors and celebrities during the Venice Film Festival.
