Opened in 1951 by Narciso Latini, this trattoria, with its ancient roof, common tables and traditional cooking, enjoys awell-deserved reputation among both localsand tourists. It is one of the few places in the city that has a special license to cook Fiorentina steak over wood embers. They don’t accept reservations, and the long lineof people always waiting for a table is evidence that this style of cooking remains popular to this day. The service is fast and no frills, and there’s a concise, yet wisely chosen wine list.
