A large, quintessential Chinese restaurant on Baker Street, Royal China Club recently doubled in size and serves dim sum and Hong Kong Chinese cuisine. Expensive ingredients are used with abandon by head chef Henry Chow – whole abalone, pan-fried king scallops with foie gras – and the menu is full of regional specialties like slow-cooked “caterpillar fungus” soup with wild duck. The inventive lunchtime dim sum is extremely popular.
