Rules

London, United Kingdom

Rule's claims to be the oldest restaurant in London, established in 1798 by Thomas Rule. In 2012, David Stafford was recruited from The River Cafe to run the kitchen, which turns out exemplary versions of British classics like Devon smoked eel and steak and kidney pudding. The restaurant is at its most popular during the autumn season (August 12–December 10), when the restaurant serves game birds that it sources from its own farm in the north of England.
