This celebrated Knightsbridge hangout of the rich and famous has been going since 1963. Now run by Marina Berni, daughter of the founders, it is the very model of old-school Italian hospitality. A who’s who of A-listers, from Princess Diana to Sophia Loren and the Beckhams, have eaten there over the years. Ordinary Joes with the means are welcome too. Lobster spaghetti, eggplant parmigiana, tartare di tonno and prawn and zucchini risotto are fail-safe favorites.
