St John’s original Smithfield site and its satellites in Spitalfields and Marylebone are well known, but don’t overlook this little one tucked away in Neal’s Yard, near Covent Garden. A bakery and bottle shop, its offering is limited but useful. A loaf of sourdough, a pistachio doughnut, a hot cross bun at Easter, a mince pie at Christmas. Regional French wines at not ridiculous prices.
