Trattoria 13 Gobbi

Located in Florence’s historical center, 13 Gobbi is after the heart of every old-school trattoria lover: a tiny dining room, a ceiling with exposed beams, small wooden tables, mismatched chairs, hand-painted plates, prosciutti hanging from above. And, of course, the food is the epitome of a classic Tuscan menu: Florentine steak with roasted potatoes, rigatoni pasta with a tomato-butter sauce or fresh salad with Pecorino cheese and pears. The name literally means “the thirteen hunchbacks,” but the place has been there for so long that not even the current owners have a clue why.
